Like your plan, I was also thinking of looking for a really good hiding place and letting it all happen without me. But I don’t like the thought of not doing anything at all. Hmm.
And yes it can be worse. Your attempt to escape would result in an additional city getting wiped out on top of your own.

Just a follower. Despite the morbid question, I'm actually quite a peaceful person. That question, however, raises many moral dilemmas and is an interesting thing to see how people respond. It was also in part inspired by a recently popular series of books.
